B&B “Al Vecchio Pioppo” is an old house dating back to the end of the 800’s and is situated on the main street in Praia a Mare, a small town that is well-visited during the summer.

Praia is the gate to Calabria, next to Basilicata, and is located on a big gulf named Golfo di Policastro, between Punta Palinuro and Punta Dino. You can also find many other towns such as: Scario, Marina di Camerota, Sapri, Maratea and San Nicola Arcella.

This part of the coast varies  in landscape from sandy beaches to beautiful cliffs. The water of the sea shimmers in all different shades of blue spanning from a very dark blue to an emerald green and turquoise.
